I have been in contact with many recruiters over the years, but never truly WORKED with one. Chris Edward Consulting had me at hello, starting our relationship with informed conversation about who I am and what I was interested in. This came long before a pitch about a particular position or opportunity…just a conversation so they could take the time to learn who I was. Our decision to work together was mutual, and throughout the entire introduction, information, interview, compensation package negotiation and final steps, they were right there with me. They would reach out before one of my scheduled interviews, and would check in with me post interview for feedback and support. It is now 5-months since I took my new position, yet I still have an ongoing relationship with them… as a satisfied customer, potential future client and yes, a colleague and friend. They are most interested in their placement’s satisfaction. They goes to great lengths to make sure it’s the right candidate for the job, and vice-versa. I never felt like they were pushing me towards an opportunity that was not right for me, and rather felt like we were partners, focused on the growth and development of my career. I have since sent a number of my friends and colleagues to them…and although I am beyond happy with my new position, it’s comforting to know I have someone looking out for me and my career.
